Meet Vintage Reader Contributor Jenny Q

There's only one thing I like more than falling in love, and that's being swept away to another time and place to fall in love! Put history and romance together and I'm in heaven! I adore romances that transport me to a bygone era, offering me a glimpse of the triumphs and struggles our ancestors faced as they shaped the world we live in today. I love to imagine what it would have been like to live and love in different historical eras, particularly Plantagenet England, early America, and the Georgian and Victorian periods.

Writing for The Vintage Reader embodies everything I love about historical fiction--reading about it, writing about it, talking about it, getting to know the stories behind the stories, meeting fellow readers, and making new friends.

I hold a history degree from Virginia Tech and an editing certification from UCSD, and I do some freelance editing for historical fiction authors. My first love is historical fiction, but I'm also a big fan of traditional and urban fantasy and young adult paranormals and dystopians. I post reviews of books I recommend to my blog, Let Them Read Books, and I love to talk books on Goodreads and Twitter. Come join me!
